Granger Smith has turned his hard work into a major label deal with BBR Music Group.

The native Texan and graduate of Texas A&M has turned his career into a dream come true, recently signing with major label BBR (Broken Bow Records). The same label that represents Jason Aldean and Dustin Lynch.

Some, of course, will call him a sell out but Granger has a great head for business and had this to say about signing with a major label:

"I've held off for years in partnering with a record label because of my obsessive passion for writing, creating & releasing music my own way,” says Smith. “Because of my dedication to touring, fans have come to want and expect my music to be delivered in a very personal way, and my commitment to that won't change. In BBR Music Group, we've realized a like-minded passion and a simple obligation: don't change the foundation of what I've built, but simply magnify the message. It goes without saying that BBR has the firepower and for that, I'm extremely excited.”

Granger has always had a great relationship with his fans. He sells out concerts, even breaking attendance records, much of the time. He has a great hand on social media and loves to interact with his fans. This makes him the perfect entertainer.

Granger tours extensively, but unlike many 'Texas artists' he has left the state and travels the country extensively. Over the next few months alone, he will be in Ohio, Michigan, Nebraska, Iowa, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont and New York; not some of your typical 'country music stops'. I've met Granger on many an occasion over the last few years and I can tell you, he is personable, gracious, down to earth and never meets a stranger. That's why his music and style work anywhere.

Now, I'm assuming that Earl Dibbles, Jr. was signed to the contract as well. Earl, of course, is Granger's alter-ego and all around funny guy. So, I think the record label actually got a good deal here, a two-fer if you will.

Congrats to Granger (you too Earl), and I guess we will now share our own little Texas treasure(s) with the rest of the country.
