After losing in the Wimbledon finals to Roger Federer, Andy Murray wept tears of sadness. Although his passion seemed to endear him to tennis fans, his watery reaction didn’t convince a whole lot of guys that it’s okay to cry in public.

In the wake of Murray’s water works, online casino Roxy Palace polled 400 adult males on whether they would ever cry in a situation where strangers were present. Eight-one percent responded that they would be too embarrassed to open the floodgates in public.

There was, however, one semi-public setting in which guys make an exception. Seventy-six percent of those surveyed said it was perfectly fine for a man to weep at the birth of a child.
