Jackson Taylor Will Ring in the New Year in Abilene [VIDEO]

Jackson Taylor, known for his “outlaw country sound,” brings it to Abilene to assist West-Texans ring in the New Year. Taylor and his band “The Sinners” will be playing live at Southern Nights, Saturday night. It’s been several years since we’ve had a well known country artist play at a new years eve bash here in Abilene.

The Jackson Taylor outlaw country sound in my opinion is reminiscent of the early outlaw days from the late ’70′s when a group of individual country artists labeled themselves “Outlaws,” and went on to record an album titled “Wanted the Outlaws,” that group of now very famous outlaws includes, the late Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Jessie Colter and Tompall Glaser. Much like the the Outlaws of the ’70′s, Jackson Taylor and The Sinners have started a movement that has fans drawn to the outlaw sound, like moths to a flame. I’ll admit I appreciate the Nashville music sound, but whenever I hear Jackson Taylor’s sound I’m in all the way, his groove and sound is the missing link that today’s country music seems to be lacking. If you want to experience that “Jackson Taylor and The Sinners outlaw sound,” then join me at the party Saturday night at Southern Nights dance-hall to ring out the old and ring in the new. How will you spend your New Years -eve?
