Jake Owen will be playing Nashville as a headliner for the first time, he announced March 3. The artist is performing a show at Music City’s Ascend Amphitheater on April 27, 2017 with Eric Paslay.

“I couldn't be more excited to play Ascend Amphitheater,” says Owen in a release. “I left Florida in 2004 to make Music City my home. Since that day, I've worked tirelessly, alongside many other folks, to build a career in this business. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to share what we've built. I've waited a long time to bring a headline show to Nashville. There are so many amazingly talented people in this town, and I feel so grateful to know that I can be a small part of a wonderful community.”

Tickets are on sale now for the show.

Owen released his fifth studio album, American Love, last year. He recently dropped a comic new music video for “Seafoam Green.” The hilarious video features Ryan Hurd and Austin and Colin, two upcoming stars in the country biz, as well as buddy Chase Rice. The lighthearted tune is a tribute to Owen’s actual favorite color, he says, which explains the color of his VW “Love Bus.”

Owen has also been keeping busy on the home front, having just gotten a new German Shepherd puppy with his 4-year-old daughter, Pearl. As of Feb. 18, when he posted a photo of them with the dog, they hadn’t yet decided on a name for the 3-month-old furry friend.
