Jake Owen Says “My Girls Make Me a Better Man”

It wasn't too long ago that Jake Owen was considered one of country music's hottest bachelors. In a matter of a year and a half he went from being "Hot Hunk" to hot husband and super proud dad. Jake likes the married life and the father role so much, he admitted he doesn't mind changing his baby girl Olive Pearl's diapers. He even has a favorite time of day when he's not on the road touring.

Jake said that his favorite time of day is in the morning when wife Lacey nurses Pearl and all three of them lie in bed together. He says "It’s like being in our own little cocoon,” He admits it makes it real hard to leave home.

Jake Owen tells People Magazine "my girls (referring to his wife and daughter) make me a better man. They give me a lot more purpose. I was much more selfish before, but now I think about what kind of role model I’ll be. I just want to be a better man.”

Owen confessed that his new bus is being outfitted with a special "baby bunk" so mother and daughter can join him on the road. Plus he's not giving everything up for fatherhood, his new tour bus also includes a "kegerator," so when dad has a hard day on stage he can have a cold beer afterwards.
