Monday night (Nov. 7) was "Showstoppers Night" on Dancing With the Stars, and Jana Kramer's performance was, indeed, a showstopper. She and partner Gleb Savchenko performed a waltz to "She Used to Be Mine" from the musical Waitress -- and earned a perfect score.

"This was a week for us to celebrate my journey, which has become our journey," Kramer tells People, explaining that the waltz "[tells] the story of a woman who is in a really bad situation, and it’s messy, and she’s lost, but it’s all about getting back to the person she knows she can be and knowing her worth."

"I’ve struggled with that for a long time," Kramer admits, "and Gleb — and DWTS — has been a big part of helping me move forward."

Going into Monday night's show, it was unclear if Savchenko would be able to perform with Kramer, however: He recently injured his knee and was sidelined during many of the week's practices. The pair only rehearsed their dance together "for maybe two hours," according to Kramer.

"Throughout the whole week, I felt a lot of pain. I couldn’t walk," Savchenko shares. "It’s going to take a few days to get to 100 percent. But I’ll get there.”

In addition to their waltz, Kramer and Savchenko teamed up with fellow DWTS competitors Val Chmerkovskiy and Laurie Hernandez for a contemporary routine set to Sia's "Bird Set Free." Readers can press play below to watch that routine, which also earned a perfect score.

Despite earned perfect marks across the board on Monday night, Kramer and Savchenko found themselves in line for elimination; fortunately, they were not voted off.

In her music career, Kramer’s current single is the song “Circles;” the tune appears on her newest album, Thirty One, and is the follow-up single to her hit “I Got the Boy.” Personally, however, the past couple of months have been rough for Kramer, as her dances on Monday night alluded to: She and husband Michael Caussin separated in late August, and Kramer recently revealed that he cheated on her. Kramer also recently opened up about the abusive relationship she had with her first husband, Michael Gambino, who nearly killed her.

Kramer follows in the footsteps of fellow country stars Wynonna Judd, Kellie PicklerChuck WicksSara Evans and Billy Ray Cyrus, all of whom have previously competed on Dancing With the Stars. Fans can vote for Kramer and Savchenko on the TV dancing competition’s official website.
