Jason Aldean Writes $575,000 Check to Susan G. Koman Foundation

Yesterday was the last day of Breast Cancer Awareness month. A lot of money was raised by many organizations and hopefully many lives saved. Jason Aldean certainly did his part. For the 8th year Aldean donated a portion of his concert ticket sales to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

At his 8th annual Concert for the Cure Aldean wrote a check for $575,826 which was donated to the New Orleans chapter of Susan G. Komen Foundation. What makes this really amazing is that the money raised was done 50 cents at a time. Throughout the course of this year's tour 50 cents from each ticket sold was collected.

'Tonight's as much about celebrating those that beat the disease as it is remembering those that didn't," said Aldean during the presentation.

He's come a long way since writing the first check, which was still a good deal of money, at $40,000.
