In an emotional performance for the ACM Lifting Lives Moment during the 2013 ACM Awards at the Orleans Arena, fan-favorite Jewel took a stand against child hunger with a medley of her hit 'Hands' and a new original song entitled 'Fill a Heart' written by singer/songwriter Tori Kelly.

Wearing a beautiful pale pink strapless dress, Jewel looked great, strumming her beloved acoustic guitar. Many people may not know, but the singer actually wrote 'Hands' while she was homeless and hungry, making her performance extra meaningful, as it highlighted ConAgra Foods’ Child Hunger Ends Here campaign.

"We can change the outcome if we reach out and take a hand," Jewel sang, and she invited the audience to join her on the lyrics, "in the end, only kindness matters." She knows that truth firsthand, and her passion was beautifully portrayed throughout her emotional performance.
