Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood will be BFFs by the end of 2016. The superstars just announced they'll tour Australia together this fall. Underwood will join Urban for six Ripcord World Tour dates beginning December 6 in Adelaide.

The two-week run will cover Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney and Brisbane (two shows), as well. These dates extend Underwood's touring year, as she'll take the Storyteller Tour coast to coast beginning in September before heading overseas for this December 6-17 run of concerts.

Just last week Urban revealed that he'd recorded a song with Underwood on his upcoming Ripcord album. "The Fighter" was penned by Urban and busbee. “I would say it’s a call-and-response song between a guy and a girl," Urban says. It's Track 8 on the new album, expected May 6. Look for a collaboration with rapper Pitbull, too.

Urban and Underwood shared a stage on Thursday, singing a classic rock standard during the finale of American Idol. Their superstar version of "Stop Draggin' My Heart Around" began with Urban on guitar and Underwood's fiery vocals before they met up on the front of the stage to share a mic. Tom Petty and Stevie Nicks sang the song originally.
