Pop superstar Kelly Clarkson netted a nomination in the category of Best Pop Vocal Album (for her 2019 Meaning of Life album) at the 2019 Grammy Awards, but the singer says that unfortunately, she won't be able to make it to the ceremony this year.

However, Clarkson didn't forget about the ceremony, or how important it is to her, her fellow artists and their fans. In advance of the ceremony on Sunday (Feb. 10), the singer posted a message on Twitter explaining that there was an important obligation keeping her from being there at the awards show.

"I'm out touring so couldn't make #Grammys2019 tonight, BUT couldn't be more appreciate for the nomination and couldn't be more excited for everyone there!" Clarkson gushed, with all her trademark enthusiasm.

Furthermore, Clarkson added a reminder to all those attending the ceremony to focus on how lucky artists are to be successful in their dream careers. "To all the artists nominated and nominated, win or lose, feel blessed that you get to do what you do for a living!" she said.

Shortly afterward, the pop star returned to Twitter with a personal note for the evening's host, Alicia Keys, who also served as her fellow coach on The Voice

"Oh, and good luck Alicia Keys hosting tonight! You're gonna be amazing," Clarkson said.

Clarkson has been on the road for her Meaning of Life Tour since the beginning of 2019. She is joined by opening acts Kelsea Ballerini as well as Voice alum Brynn Cartel.
