Kenny Chesney hit the stage at the 2013 ACM Awards on Sunday to perform his latest hit, 'Pirate Flag.' The audience waved their black and white 'No Shoes Nation' flags proudly as the singer did his thing. Some lucky fans were able to watch while butted up against the stage, and they formed a 'No Shoes Nation' pocket around the front of the riser while they watched Chesney perform.

The fans held their flags high, but so did the rest of the crowd, including Chesney's peers and fellow country stars.

'Pirate Flag' sounds and feels a whole lot like summer -- especially live -- and Chesney revved up the crowd, which was recovering from a star-studded opening performance from Blake Shelton and friends, and as well as the hilarious opening monologue from Shelton and co-host Luke Bryan, accordingly.

While Chesney didn't have an array of guests on hand to help him deliver his song, he did just fine on his own, serving as the centerpiece of the performance while backed by his trusty band.

If there's one thing you can count on when it comes to Kenny Chesney and country awards shows, it's a solid, quality performance, and that's just what he turned in this evening.
