The Kiwanis Club of Abilene is hosting their 63rd Annual Pancake Day and Auction this Saturday April 28th, 2012. The event will be at the Abilene Civic Center with two separate feeding times, for breakfast and lunch from 8am till 2pm and for supper from 4pm till 7pm with their silent auction closing at 7pm As well.

I-Hop is the main sponsor and provider of all the pancake batter for this event, in fact the I-Hop folks say they have to keep a close eye on their secret recipe for the pancakes, that is why they insist on providing and mixing up all the pancake batter.

As for the silent auction, many of the usual items like, numerous restaurant gift cards, one case of Thin-Mint Girl Scout cookies, jewelry, bicycles, gum-ball machine, reciprocating-saw, art work and so much more will be up for bids. In addition to the auction the Kiwanis will be raffling off a custom made barbeque grill and a big screen television. Kiwanis club member Ricki Brown said “Get there early and come hungry for the all you can eat pancakes and sausage, and bring your wallet for the auction.”
