Lady Antebellum’s Charles Kelley Asks Fans to Donate to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital for His Birthday
Lady Antebellum has some great fans and they made band member Charles Kelley proud Tuesday when they donated almost $1000 to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Kelley had set up an online donation link and asked that fans donate anywhere from $10-$100 to St. Jude for his birthday. This is Kelley's 31st birthday and all he wanted was for fans to donate to his favorite charity, St. Jude.
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, of course, works to find cures for childhood cancer and other catastrophic diseases. As most of you know KEAN visits St. Jude every January in order to find out the latest progress and learn new things about the hospital so we can let our listeners know what great strides have been made over the last year. It takes over $1 million a day to run the facility and provide treatment to those in need without ever asking for the patients families to pay a cent.
I've seen Lady Antebellum on the same tours we go on and they seem to be as touched by the hospital, it's staff, doctors and patients as we are.
The group is currently working in the studio on their next album. This will be their fourth studio album and the public anxiously awaits it's release.
