While most of our pets make us go “awww” with their innocent eyes, this dog on the other hand may freak you out a bit. Meet four-year-old Boston Terrier, Bruschi, who has just been given the Guinness World Record for “dog with the largest eyes” — an eye-popping 1.1 inches in diameter.

Named after former New England Patriots linebacker Tedy Bruschi, the dog was found by owner Victoria Reed three years ago while working at Operation Kindness, a rescue center near Arlington, TX. “I had another Boston Terrier, but I saw him and he jumped up in my arms and wouldn’t leave,” she said.

Reed didn’t really notice Bruschi’s large eyes at first as Boston Terriers normally do have such eyes. But after friends, family and even the vet commented on how big they are, Reed made an application for a Guinness World Record, which Bruschi quickly won. And according to some trivia posted on the Guinness World Records page, Reed claims Bruschi loves to play dress up and has “an overflowing bucket full of different outfits in his home”.
