It's official: Lauren Alaina officially has won this week's Throwback Thursday award. The singer posted a too-cute-for-words shot of herself on Instagram Feb. 1, looking real-l-ly young and posing with (an also young, or at least younger-looking) Blake Shelton.

"Hey, Hey @blakeshelton! How about this for a #throwbackthursday?" the 23-year-old American Idol alumni captioned the shot. Shelton didn't respond on social media, but it's hard to believe that the photo wouldn't make him crack a smile.

*Update: Shelton did respond! His tweet was awesome!

If it isn't abundantly clear, Alaina's come a long way from that adorable little girl in the photo. In 2017 alone, she earned her first No. 1 hit with "Road Less Traveled," as the album of the same name debuted inside the Top 5 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart. She and Kane Brown also scored another No. 1 when "What Ifs" topped both the Billboard Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay charts in 2017. And if that weren't enough, she additionally scored her first CMA Award nomination in 2017 for New Artist of the Year (she conceded the honor to Jon Pardi).

Alaina was the runner-up to fellow country musician Scotty McCreery in the 10th season of American Idol. She released her debut album, Wildflower, in 2011.

Alaina is currently set to hit the road this month with Cole Swindell on his 2018 Reason to Drink Tour as an opening act, along with Chris Janson.
