With a little over a month to go before she releases her first album, ‘American Idol’ runner-up Lauren Alaina sounds like she’s bursting at the seams with excitement, eager for the world to hear the fruits of her labor in the studio.

She can’t share the music with everyone just yet, but she did give her fans a glimpse of the album. In an email that went out this week, Alaina revealed the artwork for her debut, titled ‘Wildflower.’

“Wildflowers are sweet, but then they have a little bit of spunk to them,” she said of the album title. “I like to have a lot of fun and I’m really sassy.”

She confirmed her impatience for the album’s October 11 release date, saying, “I can’t wait for you to hear the album, which has 12 songs, including one that I co-wrote. All of the songs are very different, so there’s something on ‘Wildflower’ for everybody. Each song tells a story that I really related to, and my hope is that the songs will touch your heart as well.”

She closed out the email by promising more pre-release surprises, saying, “We’ll be releasing more details about the album soon. I wanted to be sure that you were the first to see my new album cover. Thanks for believing in me!”
