As the cast of the television show Nashville gathered at the Grand Ole Opry in March for a farewell celebration during its final season, it was obvious that much had changed over the course of the show's six-season run. However, no cast members have grown more than Lennon and Maisy Stella, who play Maddie and Daphne Conrad on the TV drama and are real-life sisters.

At just 13 and eight years old, respectively, when the series premiered, the Stellas grew up on the Nashville set, and the cast they worked with became a second family to them.

"It's like a little reunion," Lennon Stella says of the Opry showcase that brought the cast back together for an evening. "Obviously it's a little bittersweet, but I'm trying to focus on the fact that it's amazing to be here together, and being at the Opry is a dream in terms of places."

Stella adds that, since Nashville has been such a large part of both of her and her sister's formative years, it's difficult to imagine life without it: "I think because we were so young [when we started], we didn't have a full concept of what we were doing or how long it was going to last," she explains. "Everyone's so awesome. We've learned from them as people and as professionals. So I think we've taken a lot away from [the show], especially in terms of independence."

Adds Maisy Stella, "I think it's been really cool to learn all the technical terms. There are so many important things about being on set. We've been taking information in from every where, and we're so happy to have that information."

So, what's next for the sisters? Lennon and Maisy both love acting and music, and they're both planning to pursue those passions in different forms. For her part, Maisy will focus on acting for the time being; the music world just might be seeing more of Lennon in the near future, though.

"I just signed a record deal, so I'm going to record an album," she says excitedly. There's no word on whether will will be a country project; if it is, however, she'll have a substantial fanbase excited to learn more about her musical side.
