Though Leonardo DiCaprio is one of the biggest movie stars in the world, he's yet to win an Oscar. It seems he wants one, as Warner Brothers has optioned a Woodrow Wilson biography for DiCaprio to produce and star in, likely in the hopes of netting him a gold statue.

Deadline is reporting that Warners optioned A. Scott Berg's 'Wilson,' which tells the story of the "forgotten" president that got America into the first World War. The book supposedly paints a favorable light on the academic-turned-president, who saw the need for a United Nations before the world was ready to accept it.

DiCaprio has been nominated three times for the Oscar, once in 1994 for his supporting role in 'What's Eating Gilbert Grape,' and as best actor in 2004 for 'The Aviator' and in 2006 for 'Blood Diamond.' There was some thought his flamboyant turn in 'Django Unchained' could lead to an Oscar victory, but that year's win went to his co-star Christoph Waltz.

Perhaps DiCaprio will have better luck this year as not only was he the lead in 's 'The Great Gatsby,' but he also stars in Martin Scorsese's 'The Wolf of Wall Street.' It's always good to have a backup plan.
