The upcoming 2016 CMA Awards — the 50th annual — are bringing a host of unique collaborations and covers, including in this new promo featuring Little Big Town and Luke Bryan. The clip shows the quartet back-to-back with Bryan, who is strumming a guitar, and the five join together to sing classic country tunes "On the Road Again" and "Mountain Music."

Originally by Willie Nelson and Alabama, respectively, the songs get a modern makeover in the promo, with LBT’s signature harmonies blending seamlessly on Nelson’s tune, and Bryan taking over for "Mountain Music." The whole crew join back together for a last line of “On the Road Again” before the ad closes out, reminding viewers of this year’s theme: Forever Country.

The Forever Country mantra has been manifesting in many different ways as the days leading up to the CMAs Nov. 2 dwindle down, blending old and new for a tribute to the genre throughout the years. First it came in the epic "Forever Country" song and music video, which features 30 different heavy-hitting artists — legends and newcomers alike — collaborating on a medley of three iconic songs in country history: “Country Roads,” “On the Road Again” and "I Will Always Love You.” Since then the association has also brought in several newer artists to perform covers of older country tunes, including Dustin Lynch’s version of Garth Brooks’ “Friends in Low Places,” Lauren Alaina's cover of Brooks & Dunn's "Believe" and Jon Pardi’s take on Randy Travis' “Forever and Ever Amen."

The CMA Awards will be hosted yet again by buds Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood and are slated to feature performances by Bryan and LBT, Underwood, Eric Church, Maren Morris and many others.
