Little Big Town had a few surprises up their sleeves when they kicked off their 2017 Ryman Auditorium residency on Friday night (Feb. 24) -- Sam Hunt, for example. The country quartet invited Hunt to join them onstage during their set to sing his newest single, "Body Like a Backroad."

Readers can press play above to watch the surprise performance. The audience starts to cheer as the melody to "Body Like a Backroad" begins, but at that point, only Little Big Town were onstage; the crowd really freaks out, though, when Hunt stars singing the song's first lines and walks out onstage. Throughout the song, LBT add harmonies.

"He ain't hard to look at, is he, ladies?!" Kimberly Schlapman asked as the song ended.

Hunt wrote "Body Like a Backroad" with Zach Crowell (who also produced it), Josh Osborne and Shane McAnally following his engagement to Hannah Lee Fowler. He says that the song helped “lighten up” what was shaping up to be a “heavy” sophomore album.

Hunt wasn't Little Big Town's only surprise guest on Friday night: Chris Stapleton also joined the quartet onstage; together, they performed "Tennessee Whiskey."

In addition to their Friday night Ryman show, Little Big Town performed at the hallowed venue on Saturday night (Feb. 25) as well. Additional Little Big Town at the Mother Church concerts are scheduled in May, July, September and November.
