After Stephen Colbert shared with viewers that "One Number Away" has gone platinum, Luke Combs delivered a soulful rendition of the hit song on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.

Donning his distinctive beard and an all-black ensemble, Combs put his gritty vocals on display during the July 17 performance.

“One Number Away” marks Combs' third number one song following "Hurricane" and "When It Rains It Pours," and yet another favorite from his debut album This One’s for You. But while the song remains a gem for so many, Combs has officially moved on to the next single "She Got the Best of Me" at radio. In fact, he will head to the set of Good Morning America on July 30 to give the song its nationwide television debut.

Combs is in the middle of country peer Jason Aldean's High Noon Neon  join stars Bruno Mars, Camila Cabello and the Weeknd at the Lollapalooza Music Festival in Chicago in August.

All of this singing is a welcome sound to his fans — Combs was devastated to have to cancel some shows in June due to vocal issues. The singer was put on vocal rest for ten days, but now sounds like he is back and better than ever.
