Talk about your lucky breaks.

Bud Stringer walked into a barber shop recently with a noble goal. His wife of twenty years, Dolly, was losing her hair due to the chemotherapy she had to take for breast cancer, and Bud wanted to show support by shaving his head as well.

If Bud hadn't shaved his head, he wouldn't have known about the melanoma for months, not until it started affecting his health. Melanoma needs to be caught early, or it'll spread and reduce survival rates substantially.

So while Bud may have to experience some of the problems his wife does, at least they'll be going through it together, and Bud's survival rate is close to 100%.
