That's what I like about Matthew McConaughey - the longer he stays in Texas, the more you see he is an amazing person. Alright, alright, alright.

Sorry, I had to start this off like that.

Meals on Wheels Central Texas and its amazing volunteers spent Thanksgiving sharing the holidays with those who could use the warmth, food and family spirit. According to Meals on Wheels, more than 100 volunteers delivered holiday meals yesterday thanks to the donations of H-E-B.

Of those volunteers included McConaughey and his family, as well as Texas Governor Greg Abbott and his wife.

Meals on Wheels has been a decades-long tradition for the McConaugheys . He explained his mother had introduced it to the family when they were children and that their family has participated off and on for almost 40 years.

He told FOX News:

They don’t know who I am, they don’t know that I’m in movies or anything, I introduce myself as Matthew and they go “hi” and they are happy that somebody would just take the time out on Thanksgiving to come by to bring the meal. That’s what they’re happiest about.

Governor Abbot said:

This is a way we can share the blessings that we have with our fellow Texans.

McConaughey took part last year as well.
