Midland were feeling the love on Sunday night (April 15) at the 2018 ACM Awards in Las Vegas: The band became early winners with a New Vocal Duo or Group of the Year win, and they took the stage to celebrate their title with a rousing performance of their first hit, "Drinkin' Problem."

Sporting matching bedazzled black and white suits, black cowboy hats, and red guitars, the group put their tight harmonies on display while singing, "People say I got a drinkin' problem / But I got no problem drinkin' at all."

The members of Midland received a personal phone call from 2018 ACM Awards host, Reba McEntire, herself to let them know that they had won the title. However, the group was so stunned to hear from McEntire that, at first, they couldn't believe it was her. McEntire also brought good news over the phone to New Female Vocalist of the Year Lauren Alaina and New Male Vocalist of the Year Brett Young.

Midland won out over an impressive array of nominees for New Vocal Duo or Group award, going up against High Valley, Lanco, LoCash and Runaway June. The group is also up for Single Record of the Year.
