Few things are as sad as losing one of your favorite pets -- especially if you're as much of an animal lover as Miranda Lambert and her husband Blake Shelton. Unfortunately, the couple's rescue pup, Loretta, went missing from their hometown of Tishomingo, Oklahoma over the weekend. The country couple is hopeful that their fans will aid them in the search for Loretta, and that she'll eventually be returned her to her rightful owners.

"If you live in Tishomingo Ok..our dog Loretta has been missing for 2 days. She is a small black lab. She has a pink collar w a tag...," a sad Lambert tweeted Tuesday morning.

She followed up by pleading to her million-plus followers to be on the lookout for the black dog. "She is very friendly. If u see her, please call the number on her tag. We are praying she comes home soon," Lambert added.

Luckily, the 'Fastest Girl in Town' singer has tons of devoted fans. Hundreds of her Twitter followers retweeted the lost dog posts so that even more eyes would be on the lookout. Hopefully, as the word gets out someone will see Loretta in Oklahoma and return the pup to her worried owners.

Lambert and Shelton took Loretta in after she was found as a stray on the side of the road nack in May. Although Lambert said at the time that she was looking for a good home for the sweet puppy, she eventually bestowed on the dog a legendary country star's name and made room for her in the dog friendly home.

Live near the iconic couple? Be on the lookout for Loretta, and call if you find her!
