The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series headed to Pocono Raceway this past weekend for some “white knuckle” racing as Joey Logano took the checked flag on the 2.5 mile, triangle shaped track.

After seeing speeds of up to 210 mph on the recently repaved track during qualifying and practice, the fast pace was just the least of the drivers worries as an uncanny amount of drivers were busted for speeding on pit road. In fact, 14 drivers were penalized for speeding on pit road in the first 60 laps alone.  The entire race saw 22 pit road speeding penalties which is a race record.

NASCAR’s most popular driver, Dale Earnhardt Jr. lead 36 laps and looked like he was going to win as he had the lead with 35 laps to go.  But, a late caution drew the field together and Earnhardt had to pit for fuel which made him restart 15th.  He ended up finishing 8th, but now is in 2nd in the series standings.

In the end, it was Joey Logano, who won on the infamous triangle – and winning it from the pole.  Logano, who led a race high 48 laps, took the lead for good from Mark Martin with 3 laps to go and pulled away for the win.

Here’s the rest of the top 10.
