Old Crow Medicine Show have released an official video for their latest song, 'Sweet Amarillo.'

The song came about in a very unusual way. Ten years ago, Ketch Secor finished up a fragment of an old Bob Dylan song called 'Rock Me Mama,' from the 1973 album 'Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid.' Titled 'Wagon Wheel,' the Old Crow version of the song came to the attention of Darius Rucker, whose subsequent high-spirited cover version became one of the biggest hits of his career in 2013.

It was right around that time that Dylan's manager contacted the band and offered them the chance to complete another Dylan song fragment from around that same period. They eagerly agreed, and 'Sweet Amarillo' was the result. The arrangement was finalized when Dylan heard their track and suggested that Secor play fiddle instead of harmonica and move the chorus to come in earlier in the song.

The song landed on their recent album, 'Remedy,' and the video is the group's most ambitious to date. Directed by Philip Andelman -- whose credits include Taylor Swift, the Avett Brothers and Jay-Z -- the 'Sweet Amarillo' video depicts the tumultuous relationship between a cowboy and a cowgirl.
