Oscar Rose Park’s 100th Birthday Celebration is July 12th at the Rose Park

The City of Abilene and the Cultural Affairs Council are working together to bring a city-wide birthday celebration and event together this Saturday, July 12th at Rose Park. There will be tours of the Oscar Rose Park facilities, a fun run/walk thru the park, Happy Birthday cake and cupcakes, archery shooting, rollerskating, dunking booth, Bocce open court, bounce houses, swimming at the Rose park pool, live entertainment and lots more fun festivities. • 9:00am fit camp at the amphitheater
• 9:00am tours of the park facilities and Safety City
• 10:00am skate park opens
• 10:00am Bocce open court play
• 11:30 hotdog lunch at the senior center
• 1:00pm-6:00pm Rose Park Pool
• 4:00pm-5:30pm Cake and cupcake reception at the senior center
• 4:00pm-7:00pm Bounce Houses
• 7pm-8:30pm Live entertainment at the amphitheater

It's all free, with the exception of the food and the vendors. The city invites everyone to come have cake and celebrate. There will be fun festivities for people all ages. Mayor Norm Archibald will be on hand to kick off the event and to participate in this city-wide celebration.
