I was awakened out of a deep sleep when three very hungry coyotes decided to visit my house in search of one of my wife’s cats. The yelping and howling made the hair on the back of my neck stand straight up. So I jumped out of bed and ran out of the house yelling, thinking this behavior would scare the pesky varmints away, but no, they decided to play a game of we can stare you down and we ain’t moving.

As I reached for a firearm and threw on some cloths the second I stepped out side with my bird-shot revolver the pack ran off. After I checked with a few neighbors the next day I learned that several neighborhood family pets are now missing. Once the coyotes ran off my wife drags out a step ladder and begins the task of getting our cats off of the roof. As I arrived home from the gym this evening I heard the very distinct sound of coyotes howling and yelping near by. Because I live in the city limits, I am forbidden to shooting these pet devouring cat killing k-9′s. For now I am satisfied, the cats stay indoors and I am watching the roadrunner cartoon to maybe learn a few tricks on how to catch a Wylie (pardon the pun, being I do live in Wylie) Coyote.
