Aca-heck yes! Universal confirms they're planning a 'Pitch Perfect 2,' and that news is so great that we don't even care that we can't see it for another couple years or so.

'Pitch Perfect' was the surprise movie of 2012 -- a great ensemble cast including Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson and Brittany Snow in a movie about a college a capella group trying to win a competition long-dominated by men. The film was funny, clever and totally adorable, and the music was fantastic. It surprised everyone who went into it thinking it was just another project to capitalize on the popularity of 'Glee.'

Thanks to the film's success and the outstanding response to the 'Pitch Perfect' reunion at the 2013 MTV Movie Awards over the weekend, Universal has announced they're moving forward with 'Pitch Perfect 2.' Slashfilm got the scoop at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, where Universal head Adam Fogelson announced plans for the sequel to be released in 2015. 'Pitch Perfect' writer Kay Cannon will return to pen the script, but there's no information on actors who will or won't be returning as of yet -- and it may be a while before we hear much more. We'd find it hard to believe that Kendrick, Wilson and Snow wouldn't be on board with this.

Aca-awesome news, you guys!
