It was a wet night in the central United States. Both games in the NLCS and ALCS saw rain spoil their games, but does that have a big effect on play?In Detroit, the Tigers are leading the New York Yankees 3-0. They are on the brink of a sweep and heading to the World Series. It could have been all over Wednesday night, if not for rain postponing the game. It remains to be seen whether this will have a big effect on Detroit’s chances of finishing the job or the Yankees’ hope of a miracle comeback.
The Cardinals and Giants also saw a three-and-a-half-hour rain delay, after which St. Louis was able to outlast San Francisco to win 3-1. Could the rain delay have thrown the Giants off?
