Rascal Flatts are officially opening their first restaurant in Cleveland, Ohio, something the band has been exploring since 2012.

The bar and eatery will bear the band’s name and rest in the Flats East Bank development of Cleveland, along the riverfront. Though this venture has been in the works for a few years, this location will be the first to come to fruition.

According to Cleveland.com, the space will reflect a rustic aesthetic and of course, country flair. The renderings feature marquee letters on an inside wall reading “Rust Belt Baby,” with floor-to-ceiling hardwoods and a cutout of a cowgirl pinup above the bar. Site plans also include a large patio area for outdoor eating and performance areas indoor.

There is no set grand opening yet, but Fairmount Properties’ Adam Fishman says it could be late summer or early fall.

"To land what we think is the quintessential country music band to be the host of a rotating series of live country music acts is going to bring a whole different crowd to downtown Cleveland," Fishman said.

The members of Rascal Flatts themselves are Ohio natives, having formed the band more than 15 years ago in Columbus. The guys just wrapped their second residency in Las Vegas, and will soon be back on the road this summer with a headlining tour featuring Kelsea Ballerini and Chris Lane as openers.

“It’s really important to us that each year our shows are fresh and exciting for our fans,” Jay DeMarcus says about the tour. “We put a lot of thought into how to do that this year and mixing it up in Vegas was really fun so we decided to continue with this new change of pace out on the road this summer. We are so pumped because no-one has ever seen Rascal Flatts like this before and we’re really excited to have such great support this year with Kelsea and Chris too, it’s going to be a blast!”

The Rascal Flatts: Rhythm and Roots Tour launches June 17 and runs through Sept. 17.
