Reba McEntire has made her mark in TV and films as well as music, but fans might have missed her appearance in The Little Rascals.

No, the superstar wasn't secretly a child actor — in fact, the original Our Gang black-and-white comedies were filmed long before she was born. But she played a pivotal, though brief, role in the 1994 cinematic re-make of The Little Rascals, from Wayne's World director Penelope Spheeris.

The film's plot hinges around Spanky's He Man Womun Hater's Club, which enters a go-kart in a soap box derby race. His friend Alfalfa is too busy with Darla to drive in the race, and all sorts of shenanigans ensue until the finale, in which the boys win the derby by a hair. The trophy is presented by Spanky's favorite driver, A.J. Ferguson — who turns out to be female. Reba portrays Ferguson, uttering the immortal line, "Is that a cow lick, or are you just glad to see me?" She so impresses the boys that they subsequently welcome Darla and her friends into their club.

McEntire wasn't the only interesting bit of casting. Raven Symone, Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, Mel Brooks, Lea Thompson, Darryl Hannah, Whoopi Goldberg and even Donald Trump all made cameo appearances in the film.
