Russell Dickerson Reveals Favorite Valentine’s Day Memory With His Wife

Listening to Russell Dickerson's new song "Yours," inspired by his wife, Kailey, it's clear how much he loves her. Dickerson recently told Taste of Country about their Valentine's Day plans for 2017, and shared his favorite Valentine's Day memory.

2017 marks the couple's fourth Valentine's Day together as husband and wife, which they'll spend on the road while Dickerson is on a radio tour. However, the two will be able to sneak away for a romantic dinner and "do some fun stuff we couldn't do in Nashville," the singer says.

The rising country star shares that his favorite Valentine's Day with Kailey was when they were both broke, and opted for a night in instead of going out for a fancy dinner. The couple decided to get creative and look up the recipes for their go-to dishes at their favorite restaurant and managed to make an elegant meal all on their own.

"We ended up just giving it our best shot and try to make it ourselves," Dickerson reveals. "So that was a fun little Valentine's Day, I'll always remember that."

Dickerson's new single, "Yours," is available now. He's set to hit the road with Thomas Rhett for select dates on his Rhett's headlining tour, the Home Team Tour, along with fellow opening acts Kelsea Ballerini and Ryan Hurd. He just finished recording his upcoming album, with an anticipated release in fall of 2017.
