Sam Hunt keeps his relationship with wife Hannah Fowler mostly private, but in a new Instagram post, he's sharing a special story about his wife that fans are sure to appreciate.

The country singer reveals that while he was starting his music career years ago, Fowler was doing missionary work across the world in Honduras, Syria and Iraq. Hunt posted a photo of his wife aiding a crying child cradled in his mother's arms, describing the life-changing work Hannah engaged in.

"While I was in Nashville trying to get things going with music, Hannah was providing medical care to Hondurans during the 2009 coup," he says, revealing that Fowler also engaged in hands-on work in Syrian refugee camps, helped deliver babies in Iraq and worked with Holocaust survivors in Israel.

"Her heart for humanity is one of the things I admire most about her but she’s put her ambitions on hold to be with me for the past year and a half," Hunt continues. While he doesn't go into detail, the country superstar spills that the couple will go on a similar trip together this winter — a thrilling and humble experiences he says is made possible due to fans' support.

"This winter, thanks to the people who’ve supported me and my music, I’m able to go with her and be a part of her dreams as they’ve become mine. If you’ve ever bought a record or come to a show, God bless you for giving us this opportunity," he writes. It's not clear where their humanitarian work will take them.

Hunt and Fowler married in a private ceremony in their hometown of Cedartown, Ga. in April of 2017.
