Sammy Kershaw injured his ribs last week at his home. Apparently, it's serious enough that the country star has been forced to cancel his Saturday night (June 1st) concert at Billy Bob's Texas.

Details of Kershaw's injured ribs were not made available. If you already bought tickets to see Sammy, you will be refunded, and you will be allowed in for free to see The Grand Central, who will be filling in for Kershaw. If you didn't have tickets yet, it will cost you $5.00.

In an effort to make light of the situation, since it was a rib injury that caused the change in plans, the venue known as the 'Worlds Largest Honky Tonk' is offering a rib special in the Billy Bob’s Café Saturday night. Very clever.

It's been a rough year so far for Sammy Kershaw. In early April, the 'Queen of My Double-Wide Trailer' singer's house caught fire, and sustained serious smoke damage. Three weeks later, he was mourning the loss of his dear friend, country music legend George Jones. Now a rib injury has Kershaw shelved. Let's wish Sammy all the best for a speedy recovery, and a much happier second half of 2013.
