In front of a large crowd which included a group of servicemen and women directly in front of the stage, Sara Evans kicked off the Fox News All American Summer Concert Series on Friday (5/23), and she absolutely nailed her performance.

Evans sang her hit 'Slow Me Down' for a crowd of onlookers who packed the street. There was a special touch when, on the Friday before Memorial Day, she was introduced by Dennis Farrell, commanding officer for the USS Cole. The Cole was the ship that was attacked by terrorists in 2000, killing 17 sailors and injuring another 39. Check out Sara's performance here:

Sara Evans isn't the only country artist to perform the All American Summer Concert Series. In fact, this Friday morning country legend Charlie Daniels will take the stage. We'll also get the chance to see Cassadee Pope June 13th, Scotty McCreery July 11th, Trace Adkins August 1st and the series wraps up with Lee Brice August 29th.
