‘SNL’ Puts An Edge on Charlie Brown
In one of the funniest sketches of the episode, last night’s ‘Saturday Night Live‘ gave us a version of the Peanuts gang that adults have craved for years: ‘You’re a Rat Bastard, Charlie Brown.’
Bill Hader (playing the role of Al Pacino playing Charlie Brown) was backed by a cavalcade of funny, non-kid-friendly characters, such as Edie Falco, Michael Keaton and Fran Drescher, all played by different members of the cast.
However, among the whole bunch, none was better than host Martin Short’s impression of famed comedian/Seinfeld-creator/complainer Larry David. If only this were real…
