With subtle instrumentation, passionate lyrics and strong melodies, Society of Broken Souls are part of a group of truly remarkable Americana duos. By adding gritty electric guitars, raucous drum beats and even jazzy piano to their traditionally acoustic vibe, they have created a raw and honest sound.

Society of Broken Souls' two members, Dennis James and Lauryn Shapter, aren't exactly newcomers to the music scene, but they're bringing a new edge to Americana music. In 2016, the duo released their debut album, Things Still Left Unsaid; Midnight and the Pale, their sophomore project, is due out on April 13, and the two multi-instrumentalists will be zig-zagging across the United States on tour.
