Lucasfilm seems content with leaving us completely in the dark side when it comes to 'Star Wars: Episode 7,' refraining from announcing any castings. However, they haven't stopped the rumors and reports from leaking out as to which stars are looking to join the franchise. Following a report that 'The Host' star Saoirse Ronan was looking to join the new trilogy, the latest word on the street is that two more major stars are wanting in.

According to the masters of 'Star Wars' ceremonies over at Latino Review, who've been dropping 'Episode 7' reports left and right, up-and-coming star Michael B. Jordan ('Fruitvale Station') and David Oyelowo ('Lee Daniels' The Butler') are looking to join. Jordan is said to have had a meeting with director J.J. Abrams, while Oyelowo reportedly read for an unknown part.

Jordan certainly has the star power for Lucasfilm. Aside from his buzzworthy performance for director Ryan Coogler, he's also set to start in the next installment of the 'Rocky' franchise, 'Creed,' as Apollo Creed's grandson. In addition, he's been rumored to be eyed for the role of the Human Torch in Josh Trank's upcoming 'Fantastic Four.' As for Oyelowo, he's made a name for himself with roles in 'Lincoln,' 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes,' 'Jack Reacher' and 'The Paperboy,' and can be seen later on in Christopher Nolan's 'Interstellar.'

Of course, as these are just meetings and readings, these guys are not guaranteed parts in 'Star Wars: Episode 7.' However, Jordan, at least, is part of the rising generation of stars, and Lucasfilm would do well to have someone like that on their team. Let us know what you think in the comments.
