In the 2 years since Steel Magnolia went on hiatus, their future has continued to be uncertain. With both Linsey and Joshua Scott Jones recently releasing solo efforts, the question has come up again. So they took to Facebook to clarify. Sort of.

On the official Steel Magnolia Facebook page, the pair posted:

To our amazing fans,

We know a lot of you have had questions about the future of Steel Magnolia, so we wanted to clear up any confusion. As you may have heard on the radio, we have decided to embark on solo projects this year! We have had such an incredible ride thus far and are so grateful for the time we had together. We are both so excited about this new chapter and we hope that you will continue on this journey with us. We fully support one another's new projects and hope you will too!

You are the reason for Steel Magnolia's success from CMT to stadiums and we cannot thank you enough! We really appreciate and love each and every one of you! We know we wouldn't be able to embark on these new projects without your support.

You can keep up with both of us on our personal Facebook pages at Joshua Scott Jones and Meghan Linsey.

We love you all and THANK YOU!

Xo,
Meg and Josh

Disheartening news for Steel Magnolia fans, but there's still no finality in that statement. As Linsey and Jones do their own thing this year, it doesn't seem as though the duo are ready to give up on any chance of a reunion.
