Time and space is limited, if you'd like your child to attend this years 'Summer Safety Camp' at the Melvin Martin Center for Children's Safety (aka Safety City) then you had better hurry because space is filling up fast. This year's first camp is set for July 22 thru the 25th and a second camp is scheduled for August 5th thru the 8th, 2013. Officer Tracy Gates, Safety City Coordinator said "space is very limited, even though we have added a second camp parents are urged to register their kids ASAP." This camp is only open to kiddos going into the 2nd, 3rd or 4th grade when school starts.

This years Safety Camp promises to be fun, entertaining and educational. Campers will learn about bicycle, pedestrian, fire, weather and water safety. Additional subjects will address "Stranger Danger," internet and new this year environmental safety. Camp t-shirts will be made available to participants who register before July 12, 2013.
