"Swingin’ Tex Fest" to Benefit Ben Richie Boys Ranch This Weekend [AUDIO]
The “Swingin’ Tex-Fest” is coming to the Taylor County Fair grounds on August 24th and 25th, 2012. This is a two day fundraiser for the Ben Richie Boys Ranch. From what I’ve gathered this brainchild was a cooperative effort, between John Thomas of the Boys Ranch and Mark Powell of Lariat fame. Grammy award winner Junior Brown will be the headliner. Brown will not be alone though on this two day swing festival.
Others making an appearance on “Swingin’ Tex-Fest” are: Bobby Flores, Curtis Potter, Jody Nix, Mark Powell and Lariat and Kelly Spinks. If you’re coming, Mark says “please wear your dancing shoes and leave your cooler at home, because this event is for the Boys Ranch and will be, completely and totally alcohol and tobacco free.”
