'SNL' has a longstanding tradition of elevating music stars with presence to full-time hosts, rather than simple musical guests. We've seen the experiment largely succeed with acts like the recent Bruno Mars, and may get a taste of it in the future with recent rumors surrounding Justin Bieber, but now 'The Voice' judge and Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine is the latest to take up hosting duties. "The Voice" has a tour in the works and will feature the contestants not the coaches. It seems the show that costs NBC a ton of cash ($2.3 million per episode to be exact), cannot afford the coaches salaries or at least they couldn't come to an agreement. So, the finalists Beverly McClellan, Vicci Martinez, Dia Frampton, Javier Colon, Nakia, Xenia, Casey Weston and Frenchie Davis will cut their teeth on the road in late summer or early fall.

NBC Expands 'The Voice' to Two Hours

In a move that will surprise no one, NBC announced Thursday that it is expanding 'The Voice' to two hours, effective June 7.

June 7 is, of course, when 'The Voice' switches to its live performance shows. According to Deadline, the live shows will air from 9-11PM on Tuesdays, following an hour-long episode of 'America's Got Talent.'
