What the animal control officer found was a small dog in a ravine. What she didn't expect was the small kitten the dog had apparently adopted.

February 25, 2013 It's a really sad and dark day at the Fernandez house, "Ozzie the Rock Star Dog" has passed on. Anybody that knows me, knows that I absolutely love animals, and I know a lot of you consider your pets family members too. I found it therapeutic writing my best friends obituary, for Ozzie was not only family, he was part of me. Oz helped me get through the bad days and was my buddy when I was having a great day. Ozzie always had a tail wag and a lick on the cheek when I least expected it.

Queen the sweet little Border Collie was adopted by what Aaron Vannoy Executive Director for the Abilene Animal Control Shelter says is a "Border Collie rescue group." "The dog 'Queenie' that you came and did as the KEAN Critter has found a rescue group to take him. This is great news and another success. I will share photos of when they come get Queenie" Vannoy said. A big thank you goes to everyone that helped with this awesome little critter. The smartest and best pets come from animal shelters like the one right here in Abilene.
