Every week we will ask one of our local public figures a few questions - some serious, some not so serious. This week, the Abilene Independent School District's Superintendent Dr. David Young talks about growing up and attending school in Abilene.

Dr. Young recalls his fondest memory of Abilene, was when Dyess Air Force Base got it's first B1 Bomber. He was a student at Austin Elementary School and he participated in helping name the first B1B at Dyess.

The School Superintendent said if he was the Mayor he wouldn't change anything, because he approves of the great job Mayor Norm Archibald is doing.

On less serious note , Dr. Young picked Batman over Superman because "while Superman is from another planet, Batman is a regular guy who's fighting for justice and I'd like to aspire to be more like Batman rather than Superman".

If you have any suggestions for future Talk of the Town candidates or questions, feel free to drop them in the comments below.
