Four days before Dolly Parton's telethon to help families in Gatlinburg and East Tennessee affected by wildfires, the legend can count on $200,000. Taylor Swift and the ACM's charitable arm have each pledged $100K to the effort.

Several media outlets including Music Row are reporting Swift has matched the Academy of Country Music's donation via ACM Lifting Lives. All of the money raised during next Tuesday's (Dec. 13) Smoky Mountains Rise: A Benefit for the My People Fund will go to families affected by wildfires that have killed 14, injured dozens more and left hundreds homeless. Parton started the My People Fund to help victims from the area she grew up in, initially pledging $1,000 per month to each Sevier County family whose home is uninhabitable or destroyed by the wildfires.

The telethon will air on GAC, RFD, AXS TV and USA Today National Networks at 8PM ET. On Thursday (Dec. 8) Chris Stapleton and Chris Young were added to a lineup that also includes Reba McEntire, Kenny RogersMontgomery Gentry and more, as well as Parton herself. It's a three-hour telethon that will allow people to donate at 1-866-CARE-MORE or the Dollywood Foundation website.

ACM Managing Director Tiffany Moon says they were honored to be a part of the rebuilding, and Swift's addition makes it even more meaningful.

“We are so grateful to Taylor for her support to the Academy’s charitable efforts through the years," she states, "and for helping us and Dolly Parton assist families in need at a time of crisis.”
