The radio station in the Dallas Ft. Worth area known as “The Ranch” has just announced that Texas-Music singer songwriter Charla Corn will be on air regularly from 2 to 7 PM. Radio veteran Tom Bigbee retired recently and Charla was given the promotion to afternoon drive disc jockey. She had been hosting the mid-day slot for a while and was still managing to perform live and keeping her singing career alive.

Charla Corn is the real deal she is a genuine Texas girl, pretty & talented. Corn is comfortable no matter where she is, whether she’s behind a mic, in front of a television camera, or surrounded by her band, the Trainwrecks in front of thousands of screaming fans. I believe Charla was born to entertain. As a broadcaster myself, I wonder how she found a clock stretcher, I mean she is all over the place. Where dose she find the time to perform live on stage, on location broadcasting live, appearing at the PRCA rodeo or live in concert at various state universities, nightclubs and fairs.

“There is simply nothing better for me than being onstage, performing for people and watching them have a great time. I am committed to that feeling, to that sense of purpose. It’s why I’m here.” ~ Charla

Charla Corn has opened for, played with or accompanied a host of country music greats. It’s doesn’t hurt that she’s got Asleep at the Wheel’s lead man Ray Benson fronting her video, that is just too cool for words. I love Charla Corn and think she’ll be a huge national star before too long. Watch the video and tell you me what do you think?
