There’s a few reasons the term ‘teaser trailer’ feels especially appropriate when describing the new Sofia Coppola drama The Beguiled. Not only is the average movie-lover excited for a new film from the Virgin Suicides director, the typical Colin Farrell fan hyped for the The Lobster actor to dig into more dramatic territory, or those missing Big Little Lies anxious for new Nicole Kidman; but this movie, about a boarding school quivering with insidious desires and sexual tension, looks to be the epitome of a tease.

A remake of Clint Eastwood’s 1971 film, which was based on the 1966 Thomas P. Cullinan novel of the same name, stars Farrell as an injured Union soldier who arrives at an all-girls boarding school in the Civil War-set Antebellum south. When the young women, played by Kirsten Dunst, Elle Fanning, and Angourie Rice, begin to take care of the man, things take an unnerving turn. Focus Features debuted a new teaser trailer today, which is painfully short in length, but hardly short on thrills.

The second full trailer will drop tomorrow, hopefully with more context behind that shot of Farrell ripping Dunst’s clothes off. The actors previously spoke to E! News about the intense sex scene, which Dunst described as uncomfortable to shoot. Here’s the full synopsis:

The Beguiled is an atmospheric thriller from acclaimed writer/director Sofia Coppola. The story unfolds during the Civil War, at a Southern girls’ boarding school. Its sheltered young women take in an injured enemy soldier. As they provide refuge and tend to his wounds, the house is taken over with sexual tension and dangerous rivalries, and taboos are broken in an unexpected turn of events.

The Beguiled debuts at Cannes next month before it hits theaters June 23.
