The Budweiser Clydesdales are Coming to the Western Heritage Classic in Abilene May 9-11

Those “Gentle Giants” more commonly known as the “Budweiser Clydesdales” are coming to Abilene to the Western Heritage Classic May 9-11, at the Taylor County Expo Center. The best place for West Texans to get their first view of the famed Budweiser Clydesdales will be at the ‘Western Heritage Parade’ at 6:30 p.m. on May 9th as they pull the Budweiser wagon through the streets of Downtown Abilene.
The Budweiser Clydesdales will make a nightly run during the Classic’s Ranch Rodeo.
We all love their famous Super Bowl commercials, where in the Clydesdales either play a game of football or the single horse that doesn’t make the cut takes on the “Rocky” approach at getting ready for service. That in itself is the most important message I think the Clydesdales teach us, that through hard work, perseverance and teamwork we can accomplish and overcome anything. Watching some of the Clydesdales commercials can put a lump in your throat and make your eyes water, like they do me. Check out this 2013 commercial.
